The game can be downloaded for free here. It's compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac.
technical notes
- Some text effects depend on text speed and may not display properly if it's set to maximum. This is not a bug. It won't make anything unreadable or broken, but for the full experience I recommend avoiding it.- On Windows, your game data is stored in C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\TheScienceOfStayingAwake (there may be some numbers at the end). To move your progress between devices, simply copy the files from this folder.
Uninstalling the game will not delete these files - if you want to delete them, do so manually. This also means that when you download a newer version of the game, your progress will be transferred automatically.

If you get caught on top of the stairs more than once, a hidden part in Vance's dialogue becomes faintly visible. The visibility increases with each time this repeats.
